Vitals Page allows you to keep up-to-date with the latest readings of your vitals
Vital page is the main page of VirtualCare as readings, taken from patients using specialised equipments, are constantly received and updated here for patients to be able to look
at each of their vitals and see how to adapt and change overtime. Because of this, we utilize the latest web technologies and web sockets
in order to display data in real time from each vital. Line graphs of five previous readings are used as preview of progress
and visual thresholds, in form of minimum and maximum thresholds, are set on the graph for you to know where your vitals should be at.
The vitals that are used to keep track are:
• Weight - measured in Stones
• Pulse - measured in BPM (Beats Per Minute)
• Blood Oxygen - measured in Systolic and Diastolic readings
• Blood Pressure - measured in percentages of SpO2 (Peripheral Capillary Oxygen Saturation)
• Temperature - measured in °C (Celsius)
• Blood Sugar - measured in mmol/L
Equipment to take readings will be supplied by SafetyComm, in order to prepare you to independently take future readings.
Care Plan Page allows you to see how much you progress with care plans and incoming events over the week
Care plans page has two major features in order to keep you in track your progression with care plans and events set by
your doctors and carers. First of all, Care Plans is a procedure that has been created specifically for VirtualCare to help
guide each patient with a series of steps to revolve your objective to recover or improve their health. Up to 5 care plans
can be carried out at the same time and are aimed to support you efficiently.
In addition, a calendar is implemented to display important events that are incoming over months and able to plan your own
event prior to any day of the year. This will work in sync with the Care Plans for you to achieve Care Plan to the best of
your ability.
Resources Page allows you to check your medical information and online storage whilst displaying updated real-time newsfeed
In Resources Page, you will able to view and edit your medical information if there are any changes to be made. Below would your
own personal online storage where you are able to upload documents from your computer and store them online in the VirtualCare system.
This can be very helpful to store important documents and information that needs to be protected. Your medical information
should be added automatically for you by your doctors / carers.
Furthermore, a news feed application has been implemented to provide the latest news and useful information relating health that
can benefit you and your condition. This will always be updated in real time in order for you have the best experience and keep
up to date with around the world concerning health.
Contacts Page allows you video call anyone directly from your browser
VirtualCare has its own dedicated communication system that allows for anyone to contact directly from their browser and
have a responsible conversation without any latency. No software installations are required for you to make a video call
a contact, as it uses the latest web technologies to handle the video call, making it easier and simpler for you
to communicate with others. Contacts may include other patients like yourself, doctors and carers and other help centres e.g.
hospitals or opticians.
Webcam and microphone will be supplied by SafetyComm, in order to prepare you for future video calls.
Take your readings from home and upload to VirtualCare instantly
VirtualCare is utilizing a series of healthcare product by FOR-A and Visonic, which is high quality equipment with supreme precision
in taking your vitals readings accurately. All equipment uses wireless technology via Bluetooth, that is very useful as
it does not require any use of wires. Thus reducing any possible future hazards and most importantly to take and send
readings successfully to the VirtualCare systems instantly.
From SafetyComm, you will be receiving different equipment, that is exclusively used for taking and sending measurements. These are:
• Blood Oxygen Monitor with strips - to measure the percentage in your blood oxygen level
• Blood Pressure Monitor - to measure your blood pressure with a supported arm cuff
• Pulse - measures beats per minute (BPM)
• Weight Scale - to measure your overall weight
• Thermometer - to measure your temperature
Other equipment included will be a panic button and wrist alarm, supplied by Visonic, to allow you to quickly contact your
doctor or carer in an emergency situation.
Contact your doctors and carers directly with our inbuilt easy-to-use communication system
Professional users are referred as your doctor and carers, who will have more access to the SafetyComm’s system as they
are able to watch over you and many other patients simultaneously with ease. Also they would have permission to view
online status, data collection for vitals, create a new care plan, edit medical information, add new events and video
call of any client at any time. This allows for your doctors and carers to interact with you on a deeper level for your
health.
They will be able to monitor through our status system which will alert the professional and administrators
when one of the patient’s vitals have changed outside of its thresholds. This can be important as doctors would have
many patients to attend to and need to moderate at all times. While both doctors and carers have different roles, they
are still registered as professional users.
24 hours a day with support from our team of online experienced specialists
Administrators have access to sensitive data in the Safetycomm’s system and authority to preform actions if
required, mainly by doctors and carers. These actions would consist of monitoring, adding and delete client and
professional users, etc.
Furthermore, what makes the administrators separate from the professional users, e.g.
doctors and carers, is the implementation of the alarm system, administrator users are able to monitor alarms
that are triggered by client under the conditions. These conditions can refer to the patient’s vitals changing
outside its set threshold by the doctors and carers e.g. "patient's weight has decreased under the minimum threshold" or "patient's
blood pressure has increased over the maximum threshold."
